Shelly Zegart continues to demolish the divisions that inhibit the reception of the quilt as art -- both in the mind of makers and viewers. Shelly Zegart is a consultant and contributor to the book and museum exhibition, The Quilts of Gee's Bend. She has acted as an advisor for the organization and operations of the Gee's Bend Quilters Collective, working closely with the quiltmakers in the marketing of the Collective Quilts.

For many years, Shelly Zegart has successfully sold quilts for clients. She can represent one quilt or a collection.

The minimum price is determined jointly with the client.
Commission can be up to 50% of the selling price.
Other expenses incurred in the sale process are paid by the client but are discussed and agreed to in advance.
While the quilt is in Shelly's possession, it is fully insured. If necessary, she can provide a certificate of insurance from her insurance carrier. Zegart has the same type of insurance as most museums. It is wall to wall Inland Marine insurance.
